*It was dark. Well admittedly it was -verrry- late at night. Though really that didn't matter much. He had a cat's eyes after all and the moon was still shedding light from the thin crescent band that was left, so okay, maybe it wasn't that dark to him, but it really seemed dark for some reason. Oh! His eyes were closed that would explain it. Stupid villagers and their homemade brew, stuff had the kick of a horse. Tasted really good though. He was lucky he'd stumbled on that party they'd been having, all kinds of nice treats just laying around on discarded plates, and that one kid was nice enough to set down a dish of the surprisingly strong drink just for him* *Stumbling through the grass and trailing weeds back to the Inn drunkenly, he looked up at the closed back door disgustedly. They really needed to put in a pet door, I mean honestly, as many shifters as they had running around, you'd think they would have figured it out.* *Growling in aggrivation, the ocelot made its way back to the large tree that grew behind the building, the large branches extremely convenient for leaping into open windows. Climbing slightly unsteadily up the tree, he looked at the wall of windows, half of them open even though it was a chilly night. Only shifters and weres could sleep with the windows open with this weather, all that extra body heat they generated, so he had good odds of one of them being his. If he could just get them to stop moving back and forth so he could find his own, things would be much simpler.* *Finally making up his mind, he lept smoothly into the nearest open window. Well that was what he had intended anyway, in reality he almost missed and had to scramble for purchase before falling inside. Blinking those bright blue eyes as his world righted itself more or less once more, he looked around in disgust. Hey! This wasn't his room. And even worse it reeked of wolf! Pushing to his feet, he looked around once more, wondering if he could find a place to curl up just for a little while when he spotted the giant wolf he'd met the other night. Ohhhh, he'd been really good at giving pets and scratches, and he was so big, he probably wouldnt' even notice him anyway.* *Padding quietly across the room to the sleeping shifter, he hopped on the bed lightly and looked at that broad expanse of chest and the ropes knotted across it, the part of his brain that was still partly functioning thinking that those looked like they'd be fun to play with later. Purring contentedly, he curled up in a nice ball on his chest, head resting on the man's shoulder as he quickly fell into a drunken sleep*

He was scorned, or at least, that is how he feels when Fabian makes him leave Shar's room and return to their shared quarters. Not only does he feel almost childishly scorned, but for a moment there is such a thick, painful sense of -jealousy-, something he had never felt before. For the past while he had been the centre of Fabian's world, and Fabs the centre of his own. But he knew that it had not always been that way .. Fabian had once had a wife, a child on the way, a -family-, and Nuello knows that the older shifter misses that fact. And now, along comes a gorgeous young female shifter, she might have a bit of a bad attitude, but that was something that could change over time, and what if she became close to Fabian? What if the older shifter decided to protect her, to become closer and closer to her?? What would -he- do? Where would that leave him!?? The wave of panic is so sudden and overwhelming, that he finds himself becoming dizzy with the feeling. He takes a deep breath, stepping in to their bedroom, trying so hard not to -slam- the door.
Once it's carefully closed, he turns and heads toward the bed. He settles on the foot of it for a moment, his head in his hands, his eyes closed tight. He was getting tired of the 'dance' their life had become .. one step forward, two steps back .. shuffle and shimmy, and make room for all the outsiders that were suddenly joining in. He falls backward on the bed with a whimper of pain that had nothing to do with physicality, his eyes closed so tight that the lids are marble pale with brilliant, throbbing veins.
He could not, of course, be sure what time he fell asleep, or how long he had been asleep. He knew only that he had crawled up, in to the bed proper and settled upon his back. At some point, he had kicked his sleep pants off, and the covers were pooled about his waist, one hand thrust deep in to the fabric, as if clinging to it. He exhales faintly, murmurs something vague and indistinguishable as he nuzzles the back of his head against the pillow that he is resting on.
He is only somewhat aware of the weight added to him at first, his chest inflating, rocking the ocelot upward faintly as it nestles against him and falls asleep. His first thought is that Fabs had finally returned and curled up against him. His sleep addled brain doesn't make the connection of fur at first, a general rule that neither of them go to bed in fur. His strong arms wrap around the solid form, his fingers reaching up, nails scratching gently atop the ocelot's head. He freezes, eyes jerking open when he feels fur, his finger tracing slowly up the back of one feline ear. Those dark green eyes flash open, realizing that he has an ocelot in his arms. His nostrils flare and he takes in the familiar scent of the creature he had petted earlier, and his lips twist into a sweet, affectionate smile. He really was a big teddy bear at times.
"At least you're warm and snuggly, mate."
He mumbles tiredly, a large yawn parting his jaws before he pulls the ocelot closer, really not one to ask too many questions, something that irked Fabs no end, the older male sometimes forgetting he's barely out of his teens! He tilts his head, nuzzling the end of his nose along the ocelot's cheek, his strong finger pads scratching behind his ears, sliding down his back before he snuggles in to him and falls back asleep.

*Kieran woke briefly as the arm settled over him, blinking sleepily, bright blue eyes gazing into green. Purring happily at being scratched, he bumped his head affectionately against the other man's chin to encourage him to continue before closing his eyes once more, perfectly content to be doted on by the large man. At the simple, lonely sounding words, he looked up once more and licked his chin, a quick flick of his rough tounge, trying to offer his new friend some comfort. His feet settling in the empty spaces created by the intricate knotwork, he began kneading one muscled shoulder absently as he's petted, the soft rumbly purr the only noise in the quiet room besides the other male's soft breathing as he began to fall asleep again and the faint night noises drifting in through the open window.* *Kieran debated for a couple minutes after his bed fell asleep, knowing he should leave and go back to his own room, but at the same time...he was comfy and warm...and the big man seemed like he could use the company...he really should learn his name one day too...but surely the other man would be coming back and -he- might not be as friendly towards cats as this one was...but then again he didn't have a pack or others of his kind to curl up with like they did, probably why he was so happy to be petted anytime someone bothered, but then again...* *Kieran's circling thoughts faded into dreams as the slow, steady rise and fall of the chest under him and the gentle weight of the hand covering him lulled him to sleep, his last thought that of being glad he could sleep without shifting because he was really comfortable right where he was at, even with all those knots pressed against his belly*
