*Tiff and Corbin were out on patrol at the very edge of the pack lands, closer to the human's hunting grounds than anything else. Stopping for a moment, Tiff tipped her head back, staring up at what littel bit of sky she could see through the dense tree branches overhead, and what she could see left her unhappy. The sky had faded from clear blue to a stormy grey in the past couple hours, meaning she was going to get rained on. Nose wrinkling in disgust, she glanced down at her leathers, all too easily imagining how they were going to feel once they got soaked.*
*Sighing, she nodded toward the opening in the branches* Go see if you can find some place for us to hole up in. I really dont' want to be out in the rain unless I absolutely have to. *Glancing back in teh direction she had been heading, she rested her hand on a tree trunk as she was suddenly seeing through Corbin's eyes. A field of trees, a river, but -there- smoke from a chimney. Blinking to clear the vision, she started out in a fast hike, remembering the old hunter's cabin she'd stumbled across on a previous trip out here.*
*Slowing as she neared teh clearing, a movement to her right drew her attention, her hand automatically dropping to the hilt of one of her daggers, relaxing as she saw a feather stuck in a bush, the plume fluttering slightly in the rising breeze. Brow wrinkling, she freed teh feather, running it between her fingers, pausing in the motion as she found what looked like fur at the very end. * What in the world... Does this look familiar to you?
*Corbin landed on her shoulder, its head turning back and forth as he looked at the strange feather, a noisy squawk its answer as she heard his thoughts* not mine...not bird...
Not bird? Then what is it? *It was times like these she wished she had her brothers' abilities, to be able to catch the scent of whatever had shed the odd feather. As it was, she had to rely on her mostly human senses. A drop of rain hit the tip of her nose and she shook her head. Well whatever it was, it was probably somewhere dry. Sprinting across the clearing to the little building, she knocked on the door, hoping whoever was staying there at the moment was home.*
